1. Nature of the products

GrintByte is a digital software studio providing pre-built software, extensions, digital plugins and software components. We offer digital licenses for off-the-shelf software products delivered electronically.

2. Merchant of Record (Lemon Squeezy)

Our order processing, payment settlement and tax compliance are facilitated by our Merchant of Record, Lemon Squeezy (Lemon Squeezy, LLC). When you purchase a license from GrintByte:

• Lemon Squeezy is the authorized reseller and Merchant of Record for the transaction.
• Your payment details are processed under Lemon Squeezy's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
• Invoicing, local tax calculation (VAT/GST/Sales Tax) and payment processing security are managed by Lemon Squeezy.

3. Software licensing and usage

GrintByte distributes software under a dual, tiered licensing model:

• Free / Basic version: certain software products or lite editions are provided free of charge, with source code elements governed by open-source licenses (such as the GPL for WordPress-compatible code) or permissive community terms.
• Pro / Commercial licenses: premium features, proprietary assets (including frontend components, styling and client-side logic), automated software updates and official customer support are licensed under a commercial, proprietary license.
• License scope: a valid Pro license grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable entitlement to activate and use the premium features on the number of domains or platforms specified in your purchase tier (such as Single Site, Multi-Site or Agency License).
• Restrictions: you may not resell, sub-license, lease or redistribute GrintByte proprietary license keys or premium software bundles without prior written authorization.

4. Digital delivery

All software packages and license keys are delivered electronically and automatically upon payment confirmation. You will receive an immediate on-screen download link and an automated confirmation email containing your license credentials.

5. Product updates and technical support

• An active license grants you access to product updates and technical support for the duration of the license period stated at checkout.
• Technical support covers bug fixes, software compatibility updates and setup guidance for the software as provided. It does not cover bespoke engineering, unverified third-party plugin conflicts outside our control, or server environment troubleshooting.

6. Warranty and liability

Our software is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied. While we thoroughly test our products against standard platform releases, GrintByte does not guarantee that the software will be error-free or operate uninterrupted across every individual server configuration or third-party environment. In no event shall GrintByte be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental or consequential damages resulting from the use or inability to use our products. Nothing in this section limits the promises in our refund policy or rights that the law of your country grants you and does not allow to be limited.

7. Changes to terms

We reserve the right to revise these Terms of Service at any time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated modification date.
